MN zonation → Mammal Neogene zones – I found that unlike the correctly named Mammal Paleogene zones, this article is named "MN zonation," which is strange considering it's inconsistent with the name of the Paleogene counterpart, and in the European paleontological record, it is commonly referred to as "Mammal Neogene Zones [1]. The particular name "MN zonation" also makes looking up the "Mammal Neogene Zones" term more confusing considering that even the uppercased "MN Zonation" isn't a valid redirect. I suggest that the article should therefore be renamed to "Mammal Neogene zones," with more redirects for this page and the MP zone page. PrimalMustelid (talk) 17:51, 13 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, in that case, I can create a new page and transfer this page's contents then place a redirect link then. As the comment below states, the "Mammal Paleogene zone" page's contents should be transferred to "Mammal Paleogene zones" additionally, so do I have permission to move that page's contents since it's probably uncontroversial, or should I open up another move request first? To preserve the edit history, the correct way to move it to, well, click "move" under "more". The way you describe would obscure the edit history, and is discouraged. FunkMonk (talk) 14:33, 19 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
