Maba to Bargo change[edit]

In 2019 the short-lived WP:SPA user:Imsd66 changed all mentions of "Maba" to "Bargo" [1], including the title of at least one reference. No explanation was given, and the article was not renamed. This is not my area so I do not know if the change was valid (obviously changing the title of a journal publication [2] is not valid). If the change from Maba to Bargo is valid then the article should also have been renamed, and there should be some mention in the article of of the previous ethnic name. From https://books.google.ca/books?id=u9Lq_8Ozf5cC&pg=PA1129 it appears that the original topic of this article may have been the Mabas, of which the Bargo are but one component group. Meters (talk) 01:32, 21 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Please would an interested editor assess the material at [[user:Ghahg21}}, incorporate what is useful, blank that page as WP:COPYARTICLE, and leave a note here when done? – Fayenatic London 10:00, 23 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
