It lasted longer than we say
Popular with men in Victorian and Edwardian times?
- That is woefully out of date. My grandparents used it, and I'm not that old. To my certain knowledge, my grandad used it till the day he died in 1969, and it was still very popular with people around that time, because you could smell it on people in buses and on the street. I know my grandmother also used it while Pop was still alive, and she kicked on until 1987, but I can't swear she was still using it then.
