Done - note that if and when any other article on a subject with the name "Maker" is created, this could always be moved back to Maker, Cornwall and a dab page created. At the moment, though, there's no reason for this page not to sit at Maker. Neıl 15:16, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

[edit]

Maker, CornwallMaker — Removing unnecessary precision as this is the only possible encyclopedic target and the UK does not follow the US rules on the unnecessary inclusion of county/state names. —Joe Llywelyn Griffith Blakesley talk contrib 20:54, 1 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Although these edits and others are not vandalism, they do not belong here:

Maker is a person who creates. Slang term based on Maker culture is a term that refers to a growing community of hobbyists and professionals dedicated to making their own functional devices, whether it be technological gadgets, open source hardware and software, fashion apparel, home decorating, or nearly any other aspect of physical life. The movement stems from a direct reaction to a consumer culture in which most products have become steadily homogenized and local industry has given into big box retailing of dull products made with cheap foreign labor. Please do not mix articles on a single page. As you can see, there has been a discussion and decision regarding Maker (the Cornish village) residing on this article page. Please be aware of Wikipedia's sister project Wiktionary for dictionary entries, but if you feel that this content belongs in an encyclopedia please consider starting a new article page.
