Travancore[edit]

Travancore did not exist at the time of Rani Mangammal. It was founded by Raja Marthanda Varma after he came to power in 1729 in the significantly smaller kingdom of Venad, which he later expanded into Travancore. So I will edit the names in the section and change them to Venad. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.23.63.109 (talk) 00:03, 11 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Edit the article away?[edit]

I agree that most information in the article lacked proper references, but now, it seems as if the entire article is about to be edited away until there's not text left and then deleted. Of course references are necessary, but not every single thing in an article needs references: there was surely no need to delete whom she was married to, the name of her grandson she acted as regent for, and how it came about that she was a regent in the first place.
The names of her relatives are not so controversial that they need references. The article about a ruler should state at least the basics of how she came to rule and why.
Why not ask for references rather than delete the text? That's also a method used her in wikipedia.
And abow all; why not add som references yourself rather than deleted away all the text until there's nothing left? The only thing needed is a Google and you will find there are information about her in several books. --Aciram (talk) 11:50, 24 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
