The article says that the Manitoba Warriors are the enemies of the Hells Angels. It always been my understanding that the Manitoba Warriors are actually working for the Hells Angels. The Encyclopedia of Canadian Organized Crime: From Captain Kidd to Mom Boucher by Michel Auger and Peter Edwards says that. The claim that the Warriors are the enemies of the Angels are based on this this link: [1]. But the article from 2008 says that there was a shooting in 1996 between people associated with the Hells Angels, not that they were Hells Angels. The Hells Angels did not have a chapter in Winnipeg until December 2000. The gang involved in the 1996 incident were the Angels puppet gang, the Redliners. This seems to be putting undue weight on one incident. The source that being ited talks about the Rock Machine being the ally of the Manitoba Warriors does not say that; all it says that members of the Manitoba Warriors have joined the Rock Machine, which is not the same thing as an alliance. Members of the first version of the Rock Machine such as Paul Porter joined the Hells Angels, so by the logic being employed here that must mean that the Quebec Biker War notwithstanding that the Rock Machine and Hells Angels were really allies.
Likewise, this gang war described in lucid detail that is said to have happened sometime in the early 2000s is not supported by the source cited. The source says nothing about any gang war between the Hells Angels and the Manitoba Warriors, indeed it does not even mention Canada at all. The website that is being used as the source for these statements is about American prison gangs, and says nothing about Canada at all. The statement about Manitoba Warriors having greater numbers than the Hells Angels is true, but also irreverent. The Manitoba Warriors are what is known as a medium tier gang. A low tier gang would be one of those small street gangs whose territory is only a few city blocks. An upper tier gang would be something like the Rizzuto family, the West End Gang and the Hells Angels who have the international connections to bring in drugs from abroad. The Manitoba Warriors have large territories covering several neighborhoods, but do not have the international connections to import drugs. The Manitoba Warriors have to buy their drugs from the Hells Angels, which is this story about this supposed gang war that no RS mentions is so absurd. For the Manitoba Warriors to go to war against the Hells Angels would mean being cut from their supply of drugs, which would mean no money for them. I do not mean to attack other editors, but something is wrong here. Furthermore, it is my understanding that blogs are not allowed as sources, but several of the statements here are sourced to a blog.A.S. Brown (talk) 02:02, 31 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
