Salsa music sample request[edit]

Possible to include a sample of salsa music in the article? Salsa music is the most important achievement mentioned in the first paragraph of the article, and there is not even a short clip in the article. (besides the ballad sound clip which has nothing to do with salsa...) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.80.202.211 (talk) 15:15, 19 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Scientology[edit]

I'm pretty sure the guy is a scientologist. Anyone wanna find some support and put it in the article. Someone's "religion" is worth noting, I think. 160.107.87.10 (talk) 14:43, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No, he's Catholic. Erick (talk) 21:02, 18 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

I have inserted subheadings in the text. If someone else can think of a better split, please do so.

"Releases" - are these singles or albums or a mixture ? They need to be divided.

-- Beardo 12:45, 18 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think, "releases" means all of the musical events that made public to everybody. Thanks --Beberia 20:00, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

So the should be split by the different types. -- Beardo 05:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I've just thought that it is unnecessary to insert dead links (red links). So, I've deleted. Thanks --Beberia 02:43, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Many people include dead links for articles they think should be there. It may be best to leave unless you think that the articles will never be created. -- Beardo 05:24, 12 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I've been working on Marc's albums from his self-titled album to Sigo Siendo Yo. I'll be working on his earlier albums later. If anyone wants to help that is. magiciandude (Talk) (review) 16:33, 15 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting Semi-Protection[edit]

That have been WAY too many unregistered vandals recently. I request a semi-protection. magiciandude 18:07, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Like the template says: to request that the page itself be protected or unprotected, please make a request at requests for page protection instead. C Mummert · talk 20:37, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That was an accident. Sorry. :') magiciandude 21:03, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

From the end of the first paragraph, "many collaborations with Julio Reyes and not Estefano"?? Who or what is Estefano, and why, among all the things he is not collaborating with, is Estefano mentioned?

Fair use rationale for Image:Mended.jpg[edit]

Image:Mended.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:21, 5 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Awards and Nominations[edit]

Is the awards and nominations too long to the point it needs it's own article or is it fine the way it is? Magiciandude (talk) 22:25, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Billboard Latin Music Awards[edit]

The "Billboard Latin Music Awards" table needs to be fixed. It looks like one of the rows spans too many columns. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Asok71 (talkcontribs) 06:02, 16 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Age[edit]

As with Mariah Carey, Mick Mars, and some other entertainers who are cagey about their age, Marc Anthony's birth year is either 1968 or 1969 depending on equally WP:RS cites given in the article. --Tenebrae (talk) 20:46, 5 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I've restored the two birth years given by three different reliable sources. Choosing one over the other is POV. We could do an RfC, if someone insists, but in cases of equally reliable sources, consensus after weeks of agonizing debate virtually always falls on including both. --Tenebrae (talk) 19:47, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Of course, if an overwhelming number of RS cites give one year and only one or two give the other, we might be dealing with a fringe claim and so will have to address that whole issue.--Tenebrae (talk) 22:51, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Tenebrae: I don't know if this helps, but I found two articles (here and [3]) in 2008 that talks about Marc Anthony's 40th birthday. Erick (talk) 20:02, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
@Magiciandude: Y'know, that would make it four very RS cites versus AllMusic. I'd be inclined to give the 1968 date and just note in the footnote that AllMusic.com gives a 1969 date, just to address the fact there's some minor disagreement. I'd add People to the two existing 1968 cites, since it's specifying a contemporaneous 40th-birthday celebration. What do you think?--Tenebrae (talk) 20:07, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds good to me. :) Erick (talk) 20:12, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
