Untitled

[edit]

He starred as Sol in a popular French course for TV Ontario, and did this as a Canadian. He spoke French during the skits, and translated words and expressions into English during the show.

He's shied away from politics in his work, but in one monologue he made fun of the two levels of governments: the provincial government which he called "le petit garnement", or the little brat, and the federal government which he called "le grand garnement, le garnement feuille d'erable", or the big brat, the maple leaf brat; punning "federal" and "feuille d'erable", which is of course the symbol of Canada and the emblem of the federal government.
