Suspected copyvio

[edit]

Article has been completely rewritten by a SPA in February. At least part of the article (Contributions section) is from Gottdiener's entry in the "Encyclopedia of Urban Studies", while the rest is completely unsourced. Axolotl Nr.733 (talk) 13:58, 25 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

erasure of my edit

[edit]

Please explain why my previous edit, which added sourced info to the stub, was erased by you.

Personal information came directly from Mark Gottdiener

Gottdiener is the first Anglophone academic to report on and critically evaluate the work in French of Henri Lefebvre. The source for this info is in Ray Hutchison, Encyclopedia of Urban Studies. Why was this very important information for urban studies erased. It is still sourced by you, but the content was removed. See also Trebitsch, Michel. 2005. Preface to Henri Lefevebre: Critique of Everyday Life, Volume 3: From Modernity to Modernism, translated by Gregory Elliott. New York: Verso Press.

who says the same thing about Gottdiener's important and first evaluation of Lefebvre.

Please explain why you object to my previous addition to this stub.

Your edits added highly promotional, unsourced content. Please also see WP:COI. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 16:41, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

your latest blockage of my edit

[edit]

Please give me your example of "highly promotional" and "unsourced" material that I added.

You copied and pasted his resume. CHRISSYMAD ❯❯❯¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 19:23, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

copying and pasting not true

[edit]

I did not copy and paste the resume. This is all paraphrased and also edited (ie, shortened) from any existing resume. Find and cite a resume for Gottdiener that is the same as the one in this entry to prove what you say. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kusanem (talkcontribs) 21:18, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

erasing material about urban sociology and Lefebvre

[edit]

Entry paraphrases the material in Hutchison, which is cited, about Lefebvre contribution and you asked for another source to back up the claim. I sent you another source, but you still erased the content. Why? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kusanem (talkcontribs) 21:21, 5 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kusanem, your first step here is to disclose the nature of your conflict of interest in relation to this person. Please read the advice in the section below. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:26, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of interest

[edit]

At least one major contributor to this article appears to have a close personal or professional connection to the topic, and thus to have a conflict of interest. Conflict-of-interest editors are strongly discouraged from editing the article directly, but are always welcome to propose changes on the talk page (i.e., here). You can attract the attention of other editors by putting {{request edit}} (exactly so, with the curly parentheses) at the beginning of your request, or by clicking the link on the lowest yellow notice above. Requests that are not supported by independent reliable sources are unlikely to be accepted.

Please also note that our Terms of Use state that "you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation." An editor who contributes as part of his or her paid employment is required to disclose that fact. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:26, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
