Additional information about what is unclear in the Mary Ann O'Brian Malkin article would be helpful. I'm not sure I understand why the article is too long: Mrs Malkin's collection of books on dance notation was the greatest in private hands in the world at the time of her turning the collection over to Penn State; institutionally, it could be matched only the the collections of the British Library, Bibliotheque nationale, and the Library of Congress. The subject is of specialist interest, but important nonetheless. The NY Times thought her of sufficient importance to publish a long obit, with photograph.
