It started on Radio 4 in 2001 and has run every year since. I know because I was in the 2002 series.

Memorable for Angela Rippon saying "It's still yours", rather that "I've started so I'll finish". It didn't stand a chance on TV, as it was in the pre news slot at 5.35pm. When Neighbours was given that slot, MT faded quietly into the background until cropping up on Radio 4. 164.36.142.217 12:53, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
