misnamed[edit]

Isn't this article misnamed? It appears to me that it should be Mateo de Toro Zambrano y Ureta or simply Mateo de Torro Zambrano. Does anyone know for sure? --JAXHERE | ^Talk 18:08, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You are right in your comment, but a long-standing historical mistake in usage has made the name Mateo de Toro Y Zambrano the most usual one you will encounter in all Chilean history books, though his correct name was Mateo de Toro Zambrano Y Ureta. Mel Romero 01:01, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the interests of accuracy, wouldn't it be best to follow the lead of the Spanish Wikipedia and re-name this article correctly, (with a redirect) and include a notation in the article about the common incorrect usage? --JAXHERE | ^Talk 16:43, 31 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
