Evident self-promotion

The following text (which I came across by accident) appears on the talk page of a German Wikipedia editor who reviews edits by new users:

  • My name is ... I am the assistant of the artist and I am in charge among other things of his WIKIPEDIA pages. I am regularly updating the english and Russian texts and now I would like to update also the German one. ...

She is complaining here about the fact that the German page is protected from her edits. The German reviewer properly responds that, "we need reliable sources for all changes ... Here is not Mr. Kantor's own website where he can write what he wants to."

This is also the policy here, I think, on the English site. The substantive edits to this page seem to have all been made from anonymous IPs, which all geolocate to Italy, as far as I have tested, which seems to be the location of the artist's assistant/flack.
