Another alternate version?

[edit]

Didn't a future version of Merlin show in the Garth Ennis 'Etrigan' run? Lots42 (talk) 10:36, 31 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

DC vs. Vertigo versions

[edit]

If the "DC version" is in Madame Xanadu, then it is not an alternate version. Similarly, if the "Vertigo version" appears in The Trials of Shazam, the distinction is not valid and fails under WP:V. The article should be altered accordingly. There is no "Vertigo Universe," there is DC Universe (Swamp Thing, Hellblazer, Sandman, Animal Man, Madame Xanadu, Doom Patrol, Haunted Tank, etc.) and not DC Universe (100 Bullets, Scalped, Fables, American Virgin, Air, etc.). --Scottandrewhutchins (talk) 15:49, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. I have changed the article to reflect that. The Names of Magic series actually has a good explanation for the discrepancies between the DC and Vertigo versions of Merlin. Rajah1 (talk) 00:21, 21 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
