Why is this article so short

Merlin is jewish, why is this information being removed?

He does also wear socks; do we include that, too?
If you feel his faith is worth mentioning then find a cite and add it. FyreFiend 05:54, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
In Mann's recent "Cranking" post on 43Folders.com he writes: "We weren't Jewish. We were just sick". It might be that he has some ethnic links to Jewish people, but it's fairly irrelevant IMHO.--Tkadlubo (talk) 11:20, 8 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed the 5ives.com link (formerly 5fives.com was used)

Reference links: I don't know how to fix this, but baconray.com now points to a Japanese sex toy site. (As of 7/18/2013 9:17AM ET, it is pretty SFW if you don't read Japanese) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxiom (talkcontribs) 13:19, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

No Longer with MBW?

[edit]

Merlin hasn't been on MacBreak in awhile. Was there an actual reason for this, or just not matching up schedule wise? If it was something official, I think it should be added to the article. -- MeHolla! 02:53, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Non-notable

[edit]

This person is not notable enough to have an article. He's just some journalist/writer. 78.147.28.172 (talk) 11:27, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also a successfull comedian, consultant, speaker (dare I say motivational speaker?), podcast host... Cory Doctorow is a more notable Internet persona than Merlin Mann, but still Merlin Mann is far above notability threshold, earned with several years of solid work in various areas. The article could use some more references to establish notability, though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.38.31.77 (talk) 18:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All of those claims need to be backed up by reliable sources. The only references given now are sites and other media (videos, podcasts, etc...) created by, or affiliated with, the article's subject. —Sebquantic (talk) 05:10, 8 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with Sebquantic, I was really surprised to discover this article, this is just promotional and no encyclopedic content for me.Jean fourastier (talk) 10:29, 30 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Holy tagbomb, Batman

[edit]

The article has a lot of cleanup tags in it, to the point where I'd consider it a victim of tagbombing. As such, I have added it to WP:TAGBOMB as an example article. Would be nice if the tags could be painted over to make the article readable again; while it may have have had numerous issues before, it now has all the issues it used to plus looks like a mess. -- turdastalk 12:24, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed ALL of the various tags within the content of the article and only left the ones at the top. The article has issues throughout, most notably it's poorly sourced and relies primarily on the website of the person itself for citations. These should be fixed, but I cannot do it myself as finding good citations for the information in the article is very difficult. If all the poorly cited content was to be removed, the article might as well not exist at all; maybe this isn't WP:NOTABLE? -- turdastalk 21:41, 2 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
