[edit]I have removed the following because I have not found support for the first sentence or the last half of the second sentence:
She became interested in space science whilst she was a student at a British high school.[1] She moved to the United States at the age of 16 to pursue her education, and was the only member of her family who had permission to do so.[2][3] CMtemCA (talk) 00:57, 13 May 2021 (UTC)

- The Popular Mechanics source says "Aung did so well at the British school in Malaysia that at sixteen her parents sent her back to the U.S. alone. She was the only member of the family born here, so while her two younger sisters couldn't come, she could." I'll look into reincorporating this aspect which seems to me significant. - I've done this. It isn't clear to me whether her parents could have entered the U.S. at this time but they most likely could not have left the younger sisters in Malaysia. Thincat (talk) 17:15, 9 November 2021 (UTC)
