Primary
[edit]We cannot have statements like "Meaney pioneered in behavioral epigenetics research", supported only by primary source papers written by Meaney and colleagues. "Pioneering" is unverified and potentially original thought unless secondary sources validate the claim. Articles about academics often resort to primary literature and/or affiliated news releases or websites, which necessarily presents an incomplete picture, but any interpretation or synthesis of such sources is prohibited per WP:PRIMARY. --Animalparty-- (talk) 02:15, 30 May 2015 (UTC)
