Birthplace question

[edit]

Someone keeps changing the subject's birthplace without citing any sources. All the sources from the article, plus the Medal of Honor Society, The Military Times, The United States Army, as well as a marker next to his actual grave all list his birthplace as Cassino.
I was able to find a source here [1] that says St. Apollinare in its article text, however it later contradicts itself by listing the medal citation saying "Born: 5 February 1895, Cassino, Italy".
Considering the majority of reputable sources say his birthplace is Cassino, I'm inclined to accept them. However, if someone else is able to find a reliable source that contradicts them, I'm all ears! Sigma440 (talk) 08:20, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be changing the birthplace to the cited location (Cassino) in the next few days since no one has raised any objections. Sigma440 (talk) 22:20, 3 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
