Clarify[edit]

The article has this sentence in it currently -- which doesn't make any sense! "In 2007, he ran 13 marathons (not including ultra-marathons), and seven marathons in a span of nine weeks (winning three)." Rman888 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 14:33, 16 January 2012 (UTC).[reply]

I can see how it could be confusing, but it's saying that he ran 13 26.2 mile marathons total in the year. In a 9 week span he ran 7 marathons, and won 2 of them. --CutOffTies (talk) 19:02, 6 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Validity of 5k PR[edit]

The article currently lists Mr. Wardian's 5k PR as 13:16. This time is far, far superior to all of his other times, and in my opinion highly implausible. I suggest that this PR be removed from the article, or even more ideally replaced by a legitimate 5k PR, unless it can be shown that this course was USATF certified in 2011. Okay, I've discovered that the full results of the race where Mr. Wardian ran 13:16 state that "Due to Course Flooding on Hains Point, Course was changed to 2.65Miles; Mile Pace is based on 2.65Miles". In light of this it clear to me that the 5k PR needs to be revised. I checked Mike's personal webpage, and the fastest time it lists is 16:25 at the Ivy 5k in 2013. However, Mike's Athlinks page lists a bunch of 5k's faster than that. The fastest (besides the illegitimate 13:16) is a 15:09, from 2004. I am not sure whether that course was certified or not - does anyone know how to find out? And should someone go ahead and revise the 5k PR to 15:09 in the meantime?
