Not Stub
[edit]I have recently expanded this article greatly by translating from the equivalent French page. I have also removed the stub tag, as this article is now rather lengthy. Thanks! Alohasoy 00:22, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Principle founder of the Beatnik movement?
[edit]This can't be true. Polnareff would have been far too young. Perhaps maybe just an early exponent of the movement in France? He would have been 8 when On the Road was written. MisterQuickly 18:48, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
- Agreed. It should probably be deleted from the French wiki too (that's where I got it from). Thanks! Alohasoy 18:14, 30 August 2006 (UTC)
Rocancourt
[edit]Does anyone have any credible information regarding involvement with the Rocancourt fraud case? The rockstar allegedly had some claims etc. according to NY times article http://query.nytimes.com/gst/fullpage.html?res=9502E2DF103EF933A15756C0A9659C8B63
Chart Positions
[edit]The chart positions reached by albums do not match the French wiki page (in general they give higher positions). I think it is more likely that the French page is correct. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:908:1266:BEC0:CC0:30D0:40D9:FA9D (talk) 21:55, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Father's national origins
[edit]The French version of the article says his father was Ukrainian. However, the Russian version (there isn't a Ukrainian one) says he was a Russian Jew. The English version doesn't specify his origins, but gives a Russian transliteration of his name (not a Ukrainian one - it includes the letter "ё", which does not occur in that language). I haven't checked the other language versions of the article. Which information is correct?89.212.50.177 (talk) 10:38, 4 October 2017 (UTC)
