Not a copy[edit]

Michael Gonzi is not a copy of Mikiel Gonzi. Although they bear the same name, one in English and one in Maltese, they are separate persons. They are however relatives, Michael being the nephew of Mikiel. Mikiel is a late archbishop while Michael is a current Member of the Maltese Parliament. Hence both articles should be kept because they are two separate, notable persons. Therefore, CorenSearchBot is in error. Tsum60 (talk) 11:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Titles[edit]

The late Archbishop Gonzi has been incorrectly 'styled' in this article. He should be styled, using his main titles, in full in the following manner, certainly in the English language: His Grace The Most Rev. Sir Mikiel Monsignor Count Gonzi, K.B.E., D.D., Archbishop of Malta. His late Grace can be styled in the following ways for short: Archbishop Count Gonzi or Archbishop Gonzi; Monsignor Count Gonzi or Monsignor Gonzi; The Most Rev. Sir Mikiel Count Gonzi; Sir Mikiel Count Gonzi or Count Gonzi; Archbishop Sir Mikiel Count Gonzi or Archbishop Sir Mikiel Gonzi; Sir Mikiel Gonzi. Before the late Archbishop recieved either his British knighthood or Papal peerage, he was styled in full as The Most Rev. Dr. Mikiel Monsignor Gonzi, D.D., Archbishop of Malta. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.41.240.15 (talk) 13:59, 11 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I always Anglican or Catholic clergyman who have been knighted do not receive the accolade and are not entitled to the style of "Sir."76.188.96.114 (talk) 00:46, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
