Air force and army numbers
[edit]why, while the navy appears the numbers of ships, in the army and AF just appears "number"? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 200.116.30.132 (talk) 04:59, 6 May 2007 (UTC).
2008 Expenditures
[edit]The government approved $8.2 billion dollars for defense spending. Don't know how to include that in there Gotta find a source (saw it on the news). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 190.1.226.233 (talk) 04:31, August 21, 2007 (UTC)
- I am trying to edit the article, List of countries by military expenditures, can some one have a look at the references given because, from what I can understand it says $8.6 billion between 2007 and 2010. So that would make the expenditure $2.8billion over 3 years, (or $2.15 billion over 4 years).
- Can someone who is more fluent than I am have a look at [1] and [2] and give us a more conclusive answer. Thanks FFMG (talk) 10:02, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
What is listed in those two links are actually extraordinary resources that will be collected to help modernize and expand the military. These resources are separate from the defense budget. Hope that helps. Donllano (talk) 08:15, 25 April 2008 (UTC) Well, it seems that according to the Mindefense of Colombia [3] the 'total' defense budget for 2007 was $$17.870.369MM COP which in Dollars at current exchange rate would translate to almost $10 billion. Thats not including the extraordinary resources that you provide in your links. Donllano (talk) 08:41, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
Reserves
[edit]Says 00,000 men? Whats that about?Tourskin (talk) 20:11, 4 March 2008 (UTC)
Active personnel
[edit]I suggest we have discussion here about the personnel of the Military of Colombia. In Colombia the Ministry of Defense is the superior organ of the Military Forces (Fuerzas Armadas or Fuerzas Militares) and the National Police, both summed make the Fuerza Pública. We should decide whether this article is only about the Military forces of Colombia or it is about the Fuerza Publica. If the second choice is selected many things should be changed in the article--Neoreich (talk) 05:47, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
