stolen VC
[edit]With regards to Gregg's VC and its fate, please see Talk:Victoria Cross#Milton Gregg's cross. More sources and information would be welcomed! Benea (talk) 02:13, 24 May 2012 (UTC)
Hi. With regard to Milton Gregg's medal set, I can provide the following information. I was the Orderly Officer at CFB London on the night of 24 Dec 78. On Christmas morning, the Regimental Adjutant, Capt Ray Britton, MMM, CD, told me to release a message to NDHQ, which he had drafted, informing them of the theft of Milton Gregg's medal set. I don't know what other actions Capt Britton preformed that day as Custodian of the RCR Museum but the London Police and RCMP were no doubt informed as well. I'm also pretty sure that the London Free Press archives would contain information to also verify the theft at that time. The problem is that the main page contained a factual error which lead to to subsequent errors in subordinate articles. The date of 1 July 1980, Canada Day, used in the main page article for the VC is simply wrong, and that should be corrected as well.2607:FEA8:2AA0:F06:5DEA:791D:87AE:2049 (talk) 20:01, 16 December 2017 (UTC)
