Article title "Mocoa tragedy"
[edit]@Brandmeister: Reasoning for going with "Mocoa tragedy" for the title stems from "Tragedia de Mocoa" being the es.wiki title for the article and a large number of local (Spanish) sources referring to the event as a tragedy (as either "Tragedia de Mocoa" or "Tragedia en Mocoa") rather than simply a landslide or flash flood event. Examples include CNN Español, Noticias Caracol, Dinero. ~ Cyclonebiskit (chat) 17:37, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
- OK, but WP:COMMONNAME says it's the English name that should stick ("prevalence in a significant majority of [...] English-language sources"). Until then 2017 Mocoa landslide looks more preferable, but I wouldn't revert if the previous name is restored. Brandmeistertalk 17:52, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
