Some sources say she was 63 years old (1948), others say 1942. I leave both dates, until we clarify it. --Jordiferrer (talk) 10:29, 24 November 2011 (UTC)
The official website of his recording label today published the note below, where we can confirm that 1942 is right:
After a long struggle with cancer detected over a year ago, which she courageously combined with concerts and recordings until last August, the singer, MONTSERRAT FIGUERAS, died this morning in Bellaterra at the age of 69 in the company of her family, Jordi Savall and their children Arianna and Ferran. Her musical, artistic and personal imprint has left a great legacy to the world of culture. Her social commitment and her contributions to intercultural dialogue, along side Jordi Savall, define her as one of the most outstanding female figures of our times. Her honesty and insightful connection with different cultures in her approach to music are an interpretative tower of strength, in which beauty and spirituality have always been the heart and soul of her existence. --Jordiferrer (talk) 12:04, 25 November 2011 (UTC)
