The intro to this article is not sufficiently objective in my opinion. It sounds like it was written by a representative for the mountainboarding industry! 74.130.10.24 (talk) 18:46, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Ryan D 6-26-08
The external links seem to be getting somewhat out of hand in this article. Do we really need a list of links that is longer than the actual article? —Jfowler27 14:16, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I removed most of the external links due to a number of reasons following the WP:EL guideline. The following is a list of links that I removed in case I accidential removed one that was important:

Suggested Changes
1: Remove everything about mountainboards having suspension, they don't, the springs in channel trucks are for returning the board to centre, and the shocks are for dampening speed wobble.
2: Including noSno as a pioneer of the sport in the UK alongside MBS starting it in the US. MBS was later introduced into the UK by the online store ATBShop.co.uk importing them in 2000 (as I understand it, may need clarification by someone from MBS). Maybe noting outback as starting at a similar time in Australia, but there has been debate in the UK as to whether 3 (and 2) wheeled boards count as mountainboards. (personally i think only 4 wheelers but that's opinion not fact)
3: Removing rider namechecks unless there is a particularly noteable fact worth mentioning such as record jumps (length and height) etc.
4: Inclusion of Freeride as a discipline, and make a distinction between freeride and downhill. Possinly mention shralping but not as a main discipline, as it just sounds like extremely proficient freeriding from the description given on the site, and possibly just localised to the US as I've ridden in the UK and Europe a lot and never heard of it as a riding discipline. Maybe similarly including Jibbing as a sub-discipline as it's realllyy popular in the UK at the moment. 78.151.129.86 (talk) 22:19, 23 February 2009 (UTC)
