Counterflow?
[edit]On the page under "Principle" the following sentence appears:
Because the colder salt water entering the process counterflows with the saline waste water/distilled water, relatively little heat energy leaves in the outflow- most of the heat is picked up by the colder saline water flowing into the process and the energy is recycled.
The "counterflow" is not defined. Is the water counterflowing in a tank using the phenomena of upwelling, or is it in a series of pipes? It seems as if the pipes are in close proximity and energy is absorbed pipe to pipe, but it is unclear. I thought perhaps someone with experience and/or knowledge of such systems could clarify this. I tried to do a search on the Internet, but I could find no clarification on the methodology of the counterflow.
- Counterflow means that the feed water flows from cold to hot, absorbing heat from the vapor given off by the brine that flows from hot to cold. This means that much of the heat energy in the water that leaves the heater does not accompany the water all the way to the outlet, but crosses the heat exchanger into the inlet water and returns to the feeder. I guess you can find the word counterflow used in articles about heat exchangers. Cacadril (talk) 13:34, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
Blacklisted Links Found on the Main Page
[edit]Cyberbot II has detected that page contains external links that have either been globally or locally blacklisted. Links tend to be blacklisted because they have a history of being spammed, or are highly innappropriate for Wikipedia. This, however, doesn't necessarily mean it's spam, or not a good link. If the link is a good link, you may wish to request whitelisting by going to the request page for whitelisting. If you feel the link being caught by the blacklist is a false positive, or no longer needed on the blacklist, you may request the regex be removed or altered at the blacklist request page. If the link is blacklisted globally and you feel the above applies you may request to whitelist it using the before mentioned request page, or request its removal, or alteration, at the request page on meta. When requesting whitelisting, be sure to supply the link to be whitelisted and wrap the link in nowiki tags. The whitelisting process can take its time so once a request has been filled out, you may set the invisible parameter on the tag to true. Please be aware that the bot will replace removed tags, and will remove misplaced tags regularly.
