Use of bold text for emphasis

[edit]

I'm wondering what the rationale is for using bold text for certain parts of this statement. My understanding is that the manual of style suggests that boldface font be used sparingly, and that italics are normally preferred for emphasis.

I'm also not sure what the motivation is for emphasizing those particular sections anyway. I'm slightly concerned that the emphasis, as it is, could be construed as facilitating a particular historical narrative, which could in turn be considered not NPOV.

To be clear, I am not accusing anyone of not being NPOV, but I've not come across this kind of formatting in other articles, so am just wondering what the basis for it is. OneCatch (talk) 10:54, 30 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm going to remove most of the bolded sections to bring it in line with other articles. If there's a reason not to, by all means revert. But could you also let me know why? Just so I know in the future. Cheers, OneCatch (talk) 10:20, 3 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stub

[edit]

Article was mostly quotations, so removed quotations but left the references in the article. Basically the article is a stub, so removed cleanup templates and added stub. Hopefully others can join in to expand the article into at least something c-class... XinJeisan (talk) 14:48, 5 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
