First assessment

[edit]

I have assessed the article about the Murders of Koh Ngiap Yong and Jahabar Sathick as being of "C-class" quality at face value and first reading. (I don't rate higher than C-class upon first assessment.) This article covers the crimes, criminal investigations and judicial process involves with the subject(s) with a reasonable balance between the various aspects of what should appear in a crime-related article. While it can probably still be improved, I think this article sets a standard that authors' of newly created crime articles should aspire to achieve. I find that many crime articles focus on just one aspect of the crime-investigation-trial-sentencing process, which is understandable due to the way most crimes are reported. However, this article achieves a balance between crime, investigation, trial and sentencing in a way that sets it apart from the typical recently created crime article and many not so recently created ones too. I think this article should be considered as a WikiProject Crime "C-class" exemplar. - Cameron Dewe (talk) 22:32, 11 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
