Several errors
[edit]I corrected several grammatical and spelling errors and rearranged the paragrpah structure to make the article more readable. 82.13.40.159 04:55, 15 January 2006 (UTC)
MAP OF OMAN
[edit]The administrative borders (Regions) of Oman shown in the map are highly inaccurate. Bharatveer 06:13, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
- Which map is this? There's no map in the article. AreJay 13:45, 25 April 2006 (UTC)
Wahhabism
[edit]The Omani Imamate was Ibidi, as is Oman historically. Wahhabism is Sunni and is as far as I know very different in what it restricts. Maybe the Imams were conservative but they CANNOT be Wahhabis.
Sultanate of Muscat
[edit]Strange that the "Sultanate of Muscat" is mentioned several times as having existed before the "Sultanate of Muscat and Oman" but neither has its own article nor is it mentioned in the infobox. BigSteve (talk) 17:02, 23 March 2014 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]I propose that Sultanate_of_Muscat be merged into Muscat_and_Oman. The content on the Sultanate_of_Muscat could easily be incorporated into this page with no loss of information integrity . Amortias (T)(C) 22:33, 8 May 2014 (UTC)
- Hello. I know this is a bit old, but for the record, I would oppose such a merger. Even though the Sultanate of Muscat article is quite short, it could and should be expanded as a separate article, as the Sultanate is certainly notable. This is a case of a stub article requiring expansion.-RHM22 (talk) 15:13, 22 February 2015 (UTC)
