@Ss112: ... sorry to mention this, but a lot of these redirects you're creating for new albums are not the only songs in existence with these titles, can you please check that other albums don't already have songs of the same name. Or just not make the redirects at all might be better? Allow the search engine to search.

@In ictu oculi: How did you even find that I made these? Also, I already do check. I'm not stupid. If there are other songs noted on disambiguation pages, I point them to those. No other songs exist with those names that I can find. Would you honestly think there would be other songs out there named "Finally Getting Up from Rock Bottom" and "With Out This Ring..."? Those are not common titles by any stretch of the imagination. I find them to be helpful, and other readers may do so as well, so no, I will not stop making redirects and I wouldn't ask you to either. Ss11217:46, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Because I've mentioned this before. It's not being helpful when you redirect people to one of two or three possible albums. "Unplanned Parenthood" might as easily go to Temporary Forever for example. Why are you pointing people at only one album? In ictu oculi (talk) 17:51, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: you do plenty of things with redirects that I don't agree with and I don't bring it up on your talk page every time because you've been reprimanded for it but you just keep on doing it. I'm not the one who had a month-long ANI case made on my redirect and disambiguation behaviour. You disambiguate a page and leave the page you moved it from pointing to the disambiguated namespace, which in most cases should not be done. Same here: I'm not going to make a dab page for every song that might exist with the same title. As you said just the other day at Talk:Sweet Girl (EP): "rather than always have to go for the hassle of creating a dab page for every trivial article dropped into a baseline space". This would be very time-consuming. Until you're willing to do the same thing you're asking me to do in every instance, you can't expect others to. Ss11217:57, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I'm just asking, Why not check first? I just spent 20 minutes fixing the songs from the Prince Emancipation album half of which already had other songs on other albums. It's not as if it's one album, I keep on coming across these song redirects, and you're not the only one who doesn't check, but - yes I am asking you to please check in every instance. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:00, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I do check, plenty of times. Wow, so you've caught a few instances where out of all of the songs recorded in human history, there were a few that were on other albums. I'm also asking you to do something with the pages you move instead of leaving them pointing to a disambiguated namespace, but you won't always do that. Ss11218:02, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: And some you assumed were songs when you provided no proof others of the same name existed on the disambiguation page, or even pointed to a newer, less notable song (in the case of Right Back Here in My Arms—a girl group from 2004 over Prince? Really?). Maybe examine your own shortcomings before picking on those of others. Ss11218:24, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Hey, I've just spent 30 minutes cleaning up incorrect redirects that you made on two albums. They were incorrect, yes? It's not an issue of shortcomings, it's an issue of checking before making redirects. Or not making them at all and letting the search function work. That's all. Would you rather no one said anything? Cheers. In ictu oculi (talk) 18:28, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
@In ictu oculi: And hey, I've just typed three of four messages bringing up your shortcomings and you've turned it back around on me with each subsequent reply. It's an issue of acknowledging you're not perfect yourself and in fact have the longer history of more problematic behaviour concerning redirects and disambiguation, considering the amount of editors who complained at ANI about you. You didn't clean much up; you made a bunch of assumptions of primary topics and changed redirects and ignored the existence of the song. I don't see that I did anything particularly "incorrect" that you also didn't do by ignoring the existence of other topics until I bothered to make most of them into dabs just then.
