toxicity[edit]

"The plant is placed in Toxicity Category 4" by which classification? the link in the ref is down.200.112.106.102 (talk) 15:01, 22 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This is a monotypic genus, separate articles that exists under binomial "Nandina domestica" should be merged.[edit]

This is a monotypic genus, a list of language articles exists for the species under "Nandina domestica" instead of "Nandina", some languages have articles for both genus and species, should be merged for ease of access. Added example article [[南天竹]], see the other languages in the sidebar.Disappointman (talk) 11:49, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

They are merged. There is not a separate article under N. domestica - just a redirect to this article, which is correct. Darorcilmir (talk) 11:36, 3 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

what actually does eat the berries?[edit]

Presumably the plant produces the berries so that something will eat them and spread the seeds. If the plant is so toxic then why does it produce berries? Does some animal native to China/Japan eat it? 47.138.89.140 (talk) 05:25, 8 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
