I believe the tags do not belong here as this attorney is a long term civil rights activist and led high profile cases on behalf of the Black Lives Matter movement for many years. There is no sensationalism here and she has all the sources to show her notability. The second opinion would be the most helpful here.--Beltroad714 (talk) 21:04, 12 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Beltroad714. The reason for the notability tag is that of the sources that are WP:INDEPENDENT, the majority are passing mentions of Jackson. Regarding the Press Release tag, I believe that the tone sometimes feels more like advocacy than a WP:NPOV encyclopedia article. Cheers, 1292simon (talk) 20:55, 13 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Beltroad714 and everyone! I really thoroughly checked the sources and I believe there is no notability issue here. Jackson has been an attorney in a number of very high profile legal cases including Trayvon Martin case, where she represented Martin's family for years and publicly commented in the media. The case and her work has had a significant impact on Black Lives Matter movement. There is no sensationalism here as we are talking about cases spread over years, not over any short period of time. And Travyon Martin case is definitely not a "sensationalism" but a part of the legacy and the movement for the civil rights of African American in the US. If someone rejects this logic, please, detail.--2601:1C0:CB01:2660:E5C8:97F3:5134:93E2 (talk) 19:34, 19 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The promotionalism is partly in the detail explaining the cases. It is usually sufficient to link to the WP articles on them. There's also the need for more careful NWP:NPOV wording DGG ( talk ) 16:29, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, DGG! I agree on promotional character of some parts of the text and the cases should be cut (save Travyon Martin case as it is really important) but the tags were related to "sensationalism" and "notability". There was no tag on "advertising or promotional tone". I think it would be great to cut the cases and make the page shorter and more neutral. 2601:1C0:CB01:2660:F47E:D3E6:8774:36E7 (talk) 21:49, 20 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The TM< case is especially the one that should be cut, because everyone knows about it and wr have a perfectly adequate article. We don't have to copy the material here. The tags used are the closest ones available--I agree they don't do justice to particular situations. DGG ( talk ) 05:07, 21 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
