Noble Hill School[edit]

The coordinates currently given are probably wrong. The school was near Gaddis Road, and the coordinates are not. The NRHP form gives Easting 697180 and Northing 3791460, which translates to about 34.245581,-78.858814, which is in North Carolina. The NRHP form has an aerial photo showing the location of the school, but I haven't been able to match it up with any current road in the area west of Cassville. 02:20, 3 May 2016 (UTC)

Note - the road in the aerial photo matches Akin Road. The building is between it and US 41/Joe Frank Harris. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:58, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Aha! I finally figured it out. The UTM coordinates were supposed to be zone 16 which is indeed located in Cassville: 34°14′44″N 84°51′32″W / 34.2456°N 84.8588°W / 34.2456; -84.8588. Looking closely at this point, the school is most likely at 34°14′49″N 84°51′31″W / 34.2470°N 84.8585°W / 34.2470; -84.8585. This also has a label for the Noble Hill-Wheeler Memorial Center. Gaddis Road is about two blocks west. It's unfortunate that the nomination form was wrong twice. kennethaw88talk 02:32, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The zone - I noticed that the lat was about right, I failed to realize that the long was off by the width of a zone. Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 02:45, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
With the way it looked in 1987 photos, I thought that it was probably gone now. I'm glad it was saved. Good work, Kenneth! Bubba73 You talkin' to me? 03:02, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
