German sentences

[edit]

This text needs an edit because at the moment it uses German style syntax. "The sentences are backwards written". NB please do not put editorial templates onto the aticle page as this is what talk pages are for. --Philip Baird Shearer 12:19, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I have taken this image out of the article. It is a looping gif, jumps badly, and does not really represent the subject it refers to. It's out of place basically. Thewinchester (talk) 10:01, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Addition of reference

[edit]

Hopefully I'm doing this the correct way. If the doesn't belong here please let me know and move it accordingly.
Silly rabbit removed my link

I believe it is a valid external resource. Nearly all of part II of Volume I focuses on the history of the Nazi Party Rally grounds from beginning to present day. The video features all the massive surviving buildings, the architect who built them and how they're used today.
Please weight in whether or not this resource can be added to this article. Quest4history 03:51, 11 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Move to Zeppelin Field discussion

The result of the proposal was no move. Duja 12:25, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's not what the article says. Zeppelin Field is only one of several parts of the grounds. — AjaxSmack 06:36, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Exactly. de:Zeppelinfeld is a part of de:Reichsparteitagsgelände.-- Matthead discuß!     O       11:26, 24 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It still wouldn't be accurate for this article, because the article isn't just about that one part. Dekimasuよ! 12:15, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Feuer Buhnes

[edit]

No such word as "Buhnes" exists in German. Thinkable could be "Feuer Bühne" which means "fire stage" —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.151.99.87 (talk) 12:29, 27 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Große Straße is also used for the 'Volksfest' now. It's also kown as the Volksfestplatz! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.171.146.157 (talk) 10:20, 5 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

the Große Straße ("great road"), a (never used) parade road

[edit]

It is in use today, so the statement that it was never used is false. That statement needs to be re-worded to the effect that the street was never used as a parade grounds[citation needed] but has seen many other uses over the years. Toddst1 (talk) 22:16, 16 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Nuremberg parade photos

[edit]

Was to include more archive footage. Some on the internet seem doctored but after study are legitimate.

File:Nurembergrally.jpg
File:Nurembergufoparade.gif

I questioned this photograph as being a prop, as i am a ps expert, however upon analysis i noticed the figures were not in the same position, as was the crowd moving. The interlace effect can be done via models over a printed image captured by footage, but the shadow itself had a motion blur, these photographs are legitimate. Someone shot these images using a modern camera or a shutter effect. Something supposedly not invented in the 1940s by the gay empire. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.100.60.164 (talk) 20:34, 2 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Contemporary uses of the Nazi Party Rally Grounds area

[edit]

When looking up the current site of the party rally grounds, I noticed that someone, after the war, had plopped down a building or set of buildings practically as large as anything the Nazis had planned, and I have not seen anything in Wikipedia to explain this fact. I think it's a convention center, and a "Frankenhalle" appears to be part of it. Can someone please look it up and put something about this complex in there? Thanks. 198.151.130.36 (talk) 05:23, 9 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Well, that is the Nuremberg Fair or convention centre, built after 1974. This is where the International Toy Fair takes place. It occupies the area to the SE of the planned Deutsches Stadion. However, there is no entry for the Fair in the English Wikipedia, so we can't link to it. In addition, there are also the Stadion Nürnberg (football arena), a public swimming pool (Stadionbad) and a large area of "Kleingaerten", small gardening lots with huts owned/rented by individuals. Not sure where exactly that information would fit in, given the current structure of the text, though.Drow69 (talk) 14:35, 21 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

"Clinker"

[edit]

The word has a couple of meanings. Does it mean Clinker (cement) here? 142.204.141.222 (talk) 01:43, 14 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
