Review
[edit]- The first part - the 'lede' - does not explain what it actually *is*. It should begin with that; e.g. "The Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 is an act passed by the (whatever) parliament, which relates to (whatever)". See WP:LEDE
- It could do with some more, different references - it relies too much on india.gov
- "Statutory Definitions" - consider rewriting this in prose, or at least shortening the quotes and adding more 'informative' info, rather than just block-quotes. It's excessive; WP:QUOTEFARM.
- Also, that needs references, for each specific part
- "Dishonour of certain Cheques" - there should not be a reference in the title, there. Refs need to come after facts - even if that means repeating a ref several times. You can use named refs; User:chzz/help/ref
- I imagine that a lot of this info is direct quotes - therefore, it needs to be in quotation marks, with a ref directly after each. And, don't use too much quoted info. Try to add more info from other sources; make it more 'discursive', not just a list
- There are 2 refs to Wikipedia. You cannot use Wikipedia articles as a reference; it is not a reliable source. Use wiki-links, by all means - but, they do not help to reference facts.
General: Needs more info based on independent reliable sources - that is, independent of the topic. Such as newspaper articles, books, etc. Chzz ► 18:02, 28 January 2011 (UTC)
Re-Review
[edit]Year of enactment is 1881 not 1981 and it is the part of Mercantile Law. It is also a part of Indian Law and thus request you all not to remove the category tag of Category:Indian law and Category:Mercantile_law. Soon going to add some landmark judgments of Negotiable Instruments Act. For any other question requested to make at my talk page,
