Discussion

[edit]
Any additional comments:

The use of heading level one is contrary to the guidelines, see MOS:HEAD. Do you mind if I and other editors fix this and perhaps other problems, as though it were already in the article space, in anticipation of it "going live"? Andrewa (talk) 03:15, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not hesitate to fix the problems, I would really appreciate it. Thank you. Edie Miller Angelo (talk) 04:19, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are also errors of grammar (eg its vs it's) and non-encyclopedic phrasing... eg Being invited into de Angelis’ studio is like finding a hidden temple in the Mayan jungle or the sands of Egypt; artwork that spans a lifetime of expression, tools to decode the mysteries in his and our own conscious and subconscious minds. That's excellent if sourced to a reliable secondary source quoting an authority, but as article text it's possibly WP:OR and not the tone we want at all. These should all be fixed before it goes live. Andrewa (talk) 03:58, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Andrea, text has now been revised. Thank you for your comments.

Made some minor edits, but the entire career section is a copypasta from his official website's biography, which is against policy; see WP:COPYPASTE. Please re-write that section. I also recommend an artist infobox be fil;led out before it be moved. ɠu¹ɖяy¤ • ¢  10:13, 17 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This text and the official website biography are written by the same author; how should we approach this, is it not allowed? Could you please explain what is an infobox? Edie Miller Angelo (talk) 04:29, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Read the article I linked about copy info from sites outside of Wikipedia, WP:COPYPASTE. If your the author of the website, then that would be conflict of interest, see WP:COI. For more info about Infoboxes, see Help:Infobox. I have already pasted the correct one for the article, but it needs to be filled out. ɠu¹ɖяy¤ • ¢  09:12, 18 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I am not the author of the website. Nick's widow Josiane de Angelis supplied the necessary information and it was collaborated on with the web designer and host TechDesigno of West Orange NJ USA I would like to upload photographs of Nick's paintings but don't see how to do that. The pictures were taken and sold to Josiane de Angelis and are her property but they are not copyrighted. I see on the Vincent van Gogh page there is what I assume is an Artist's Info box but I do not see how to create one HELP EdieangeloEdie Miller Angelo (talk) 05:13, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have already pasted the correct Infobox into the article, it just needs to be filled out. It's at the top & starts with {{Infobox artist. ɠu¹ɖяy¤ • ¢  23:38, 19 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
ok, it is done! Thank you ɠu¹ɖяy for your precious help with this! Do you think it can be moved as live now? 71.187.114.9 (talk) 02:25, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
One last thing I would recommend to do before it goes live is wikilink some things on this page. I did a few for example. ɠu¹ɖяy¤ • ¢  02:50, 22 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, done! I have taken out some you did as I've tried to highlight words related to art... Hope it is ok 71.172.173.70 (talk) 03:16, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
You don't just wikilink articles related to the subject, you wikilink keywords. Mostly anything that has an article without going crazy. ɠu¹ɖяy¤ • ¢  03:23, 23 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I understand now and I've done as per your suggestion.
Hello ɠu¹ɖяy, woul you have any suggestion how to have the article live now? Thank you Edie Miller Angelo (talk) 16:40, 25 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Accidental reversion

[edit]

Hi there. I accidentally reverted the work that you did, but I undid my reversion a second later as per this. Thanks. WikiTome Talk 09:30, 21 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
