Consider trimming 3rd paragraph of page summary

[edit]

I noticed that the third paragraph of the page summary rambles on about non-cis/het (LGBTQIA+) representation in other animated shows, from Super Drag to Adventure Time, without fully explaining their relevance to the development or characterization of Nomad of Nowhere. Not just that, but the examples listed in the paragraph in question are produced by more mainstream studios and/or significantly more popular and renowned than the indie-produced Nomad, which only exhibits strong WLW subtext in comparison to, say, the openly gay relationships in BoJack Horseman or Adventure Time. As such I'm not entirely sure I see a(n in)direct link between Nomad and other animated shows like Adventure Time, insofar as both shows are (in Nomad's case, apparently) influenced by growing non-cis/het representation in mainstream media.

I suggest trimming the examples from the paragraph in question and rewriting the paragraph to focus on how non-cis/het media representation impacted the writing in Nomad, preferably with citations of comments from Rooster Teeth staff. (I know little about the history of animation and non-cis/het representation so I'm afraid I'm not well-equipped for the task.) 107.194.158.21 (talk) 19:50, 24 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

That's not a bad idea to be honest. I was really only adding that in because I had used similar text on the History of LGBTQ characters in animated series: 2010s page. If I could find comments from the Rooster Teeth staff, then I could improve that. If you want to do some little improvement yourself, that's fine.
