Etymology
[edit]As far as which Mongolian word, there's nothing online as far as I can tell but it should be in the Imperial Glossary of the Western Regions, the record of when the Qing dynasty came in and did Chinese transcriptions of all the local placenames. There are links in the bibliography on the Qarhan Playa page, but it's all in Mongolian, Manchu, and Ancient Chinese (古文). — LlywelynII 15:45, 8 August 2019 (UTC)
