History[edit]

Heard about these riots from a person who lived through this. Apparently it was pretty bad at department stores. Would love to see an image go along with this article since it covers a unique period in time. Surely there must be a public domain image. --Turn685 (talk) 12:03, 11 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • I have added an image. It's more of a long line than a riot but that seems to have been fairly typical. Andrew D. (talk) 14:55, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Date?[edit]

The USA entered World War II on 8 December 1941, not 11 February 1942. Maybe the latter date was when DuPont announced its switch to war production? This needs looking at. PhilUK (talk) 12:53, 26 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed it, since no-one commented. PhilUK (talk) 20:27, 22 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Silk[edit]

Why was it difficult to import silk from Japan, during WWII? Could it have anything to do with the war between Japan and the USA? --Uncle Ed (talk) 13:36, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
