So are the quotes by the look of them - "even blowing an invisible horn at deafening decibels" in the eighteenth century, when the unit "decibel" was invented in the 20th century? I think not. The Epworth Rectory haunting is well worth a wikipedia entry, but this one really needs tightening up. JohnHarris (talk) 18:02, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Then why not try doing a little work? I don't know where that decibel quote came from, and obviously neither do you, so it's irrelevant that decibels hadn't been invented until the 20th century until we do. Why not make a start by trying to source that quotation, or is that asking too much? Eric Corbett 18:37, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

(talk page stalker)...it appears the quote came from Susanna Wesley here. It was a quote given by Kathy L. Gilbert, a "multimedia reporter for the young adult content team at United Methodist Communications in Nashville". Google has her as a religious (Methodist) reporter with no real notable journalistic engagements. I can add this if this is the best we are going to get at this stage? -- CassiantoTalk 19:55, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That looks like it's a copy of our article. Eric Corbett 20:47, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Damn cheek! How about this? --CassiantoTalk 21:26, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
That one looks good. Eric Corbett 21:46, 19 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
