Close?[edit]

"Because of its close proximity to the city of Bremen, the city is only about half an hour drive from the Bremen Airport." What? Its close because its close?

map without Oldenburg on Oldenburg page[edit]

The map in A_Weser_watershed_closer.gif does not indicate the location of Oldenburg (at least not by name). I think this image should either be updated to include Oldenburg, or be removed from this page. MHD 10:21, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Education[edit]

Currently the article implies that there is just one Gymnasium in Oldenburg, but in fact it is just one of 7, additionally there two Gesamtschulen (comprehensive school) which offer the same education and the Abitur. The other gymnasium schools are:
Altes Gymnasium Oldenburg (Old Gymnasium Oldenburg)
Cäcilienschule Oldenburg
Gymnasium Eversten Oldenburg
Herbartgymnasium Oldenburg
Liebfrauenschule
Neues Gymnasium Oldenburg (New Gymnasium Oldenburg)

the comprehensive schools are:
Helene-Lange-school
IGS Flötenteich

I think it makes no sense, just to name one them (the GAG isn't even supported by the city, but by Oldenburg (district)), so I would like to change the article, but I'm not sure about my english skills, on the other hand I don't think that anybody is going to realize this. --Jan 79.204.150.72 (talk) 12:09, 24 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

– no clear primary topic. In addition to the city, Oldenburg (disambiguation) lists no less than 7 related regional entities bearing that name, 4 towns, a mountain, several ships, and assorted other topics. Readers and editors will be better served by more precise naming. Note that the de.wp dismabiguates the city as de:Oldenburg (Oldb), and that title may be worth considering here.
