Sourcing issues

[edit]

I have tagged a majority of the sources in this article for potential unreliability. Between the non-expert sources, the organic clothing retailers, the personal blogs, the advocacy sites, and the reference from someone who has about 30 self-published books to his name (on a wide variety of subjects, few of which have any relation to the topic of organic clothing), there are some serious issues with the sourcing in this article. I have also tagged a couple of statements with {{cn}}, because they are totally unreferenced. This article doesn't read like an encyclopedic, NPOV article, but rather as a manifesto, which is a real problem. Horologium (talk) 03:52, 29 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to one external link on Organic clothing. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Deletion of "Criticism"

[edit]

I have deleted the section "Criticism" for the following reasons:

1) The first paragraph is misleading, as it refers to a study that has nothing to do with clothing in general, not to speak of organically produced clothing fibres in particular. The meta study has a look at organic farming in Europe as far as the production of food is concerned. See page 22 of the cited article for a list of plants that are considered.

2) The second paragraph is unsourced.

If you don't like the idea of organic clothing, please do your homework at least and lay down critical issues that a) have to do with the topic and b) come with sources that show it's not just your personal opinion. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mieszko I.
