Trench Art[edit]

I have a piece of trench art, a shell casing, with the name of Peronne but dated 1914-1919. Does anybody know why it would be dated a year after the Great War ended? All information gratefully recieved please on : c.muzzall@yahoo.co.uk thanks Chris — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2.97.77.237 (talk) 15:06, 30 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

1917?[edit]

After glancing through available online references, it appears at best doubtful to state that Peronne was devastated in 1917. At least three opportunities exist: Battle of the Somme 1916, Operation Alberich 1917 and the counter offensive involving mainly Australian troops in 1918 until September. Would it be fair to eliminate this single year in the text and rather give the series of events? Or at least the year range? -- Kku 06:43, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
