Cleaning up this article & Scope of Article

[edit]

I have attempted to clean up this article a little of the many problems listed below. I wonder whether the content of this article might be better suited as part of an article with a broader scope on relationships between birds and aviators, rather than just parahawking/birds of prey. This could also encompass the work of Bill Lishman and Angelo d'Arrigo with geese, siberian cranes, migrationary routes, film Fly Away Home, etc.. Certainly it seems Scott Mason should be credited with coining the term rather than being the first parahawker. There is some interesting information and photos on the German page which could be moved over.

Pointless narcissistic article

[edit]

This article was started by someone talking about himself with the sole purpose of getting notoriety. The activities this narcissist has done are not relevant enough to have an article in Wikipedia. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.174.136.98 (talk) 21:56, 12 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merge with falconry

[edit]

I propose this article be absorbed into the much more comprehensive falconry article. I do not see a reason for this article to exist by itself. 174.25.204.125 (talk) 07:03, 14 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Self promotional article

[edit]

This article is ambush advertising and should be deleted. It's clearly intended to promote a private business and the people involved with it. It was written by the same people the article speaks about. Furthermore, it blatantly omits the name of the legendary Angelo d´Arrigio, the real father of parahawking (although he probably didn't invent the term).

Yes, completely agree. I've flagged it for being promotional content. 2001:4653:6F:0:31FA:55A:D079:5335 (talk) 18:28, 18 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I've attempted to address some of this, although probably some of it still needs to be reworded. I do think there is an article in here worth writing/'saving' 86.13.215.158 (talk) 16:41, 20 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No connection with Stephen Hawking

[edit]

I can't seem to find any connection to Stephen Hawking as the article states. The provided link (through Wayback Machine) also doesn't contain it. I don't think it's correct. Jackissimus (talk) 23:35, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
