"Paterne de Vannes, évêque de Vannes, supposé mort entre 490 et 511. Fête le 15 avril.

Paterne de Cardigan, saint solitaire du Pays de Galles, supposé mort vers 550. Fondateur de plusieurs monastères et églises dans le comté de Cardigan. Parfois confondu soit avec l'évêque de Vannes, soit avec celui d'Avranches. Fête le 15 avril."
