Some of my ideas for adding to this article

[edit]

Here is a list of information I would like to contribute to this article:

  1. I want to add a sufficient lead section that introduces Pauline Léon. Specifically, it will introduce and briefly describe the important events Léon participated in or the groups she was apart of.
  2. I want to divide the article into distinct sections with their own topics such as early life.
  3. I want to add some images.
  4. I want to add the information box that usually contains key information such as birth and death date. This will go on the top right of the article, just like all the other Wikipedia pages.
  5. I want to add brief but informative descriptions for all the named groups and people brought up throughout the article.
  6. I want to go more in-depth and talk about the role Léon had in the various groups mentioned throughout the article. For example, there should definitely be more information on the Society of Revolutionary Republican Women because she co-founded it.
  7. I want to add a different type of references section that is organized by subscripts and corresponds to a specific piece of text in the article. This way, viewers will be able to tell where a certain piece of information was taken from.

Peer Review

[edit]

This article about Pauline Leon does a very well job of explaining what she did during the French Revolution and how she was very involved in many important processes for women during the Revolution. The things I would suggest to add would be : 1. More about Pauline's personal life 2, Include brief descriptions about what the Legislative Assembly and what the Society of Revolutionary Republican Women did 0621Amandag (talk) 03:56, 26 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the supportive feedback and useful suggestions. Adding more information about Pauline Leon's role in the Legislative Assembly and the Society of Revolutionary Republican Women will be my main focus. I will also attempt to add some info on her early personal life to show what events shaped her life and caused her to become such an active revolutionary. It is great to know that you will add many information that will be needed for this Wikipedia page, including images. I would just like to add some comments about the grammar of this page. For the second sentence, an "a" should be added in front of free room I believe. It's a bit of a run-on sentence as well, so I think you can remove the "an supported her siblings" and make it its own sentence, followed by details as to how she supported her siblings. Adding the sources of how she became a radical politician would be helpful. "6 March 1792" should be changed to "On March 6, 1792, ..." as other dates should be put into this format as well. Attaching a link to Femmes Sans-Culottes to its definition would be a good idea.Jizila (talk) 02:53, 27 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you as well for the supportive feedback and useful suggestions. I agree with your grammar fixes and I will make sure to fix it along with any other mistakes. I definitely plan on providing sources for all of the information that I add to the page. I will consider changing the date format to what we are more accustomed to seeing because this is the English Wikipedia page. Some of your suggestions that I can't complete include linking to Femmes Sans-Culottes since it doesn't currently have a Wikipedia page. This could be done if a Femmes section was added to the Sans-Cullottes wikipedia page and we linked to that. Another problem I have faced is that I can not find any pictures of Pauline Leon because none might exist. If you or anyone else would like to take on either of these last two suggestions, that would be greatly appreciated. IMZ Editor (talk) 05:47, 7 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
