Release Date

[edit]

In the "Armchair Arcade" article linked at the bottom, the author of Pedit5 claims the game was written in 1975. It is given a 1975 date in the PLATO implementation on Cyber1 as well. Should this be changed? I'm not sure what source the 1974 date is based on. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Theyoder (talkcontribs) 22:04, 2 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Consistency Issue

[edit]

This article says that m199h predated Pedit5. However, the article on dnd gives the order the other way around. Which is it? Bunnyhugger (talk) 08:56, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Later evidence just recently uncovered by the blogger that runs the CRPG Addict blog strongly suggests m199h was a later program in 1976. That leaves Rutherford's pedit5 as the very first known and playable CRPG. 67.63.160.131 (talk) 18:36, 1 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Grammar Hammer

[edit]

"Because at the time the game was not seen to be an appropriate use of the resources by system administrators, but Rutherford would continue to add it back."

This is not an English sentence.

Room Count

[edit]

The actual room count of The Dungeon is 142, which can be verified by playing the game but directly contradicts the author's stated room count of 40-50 from the cited source. Is this something that can be updated or is it not possible without a published source? Lakuna0 (talk) 21:58, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
