I've contacted the original editor for help clarifying this issue. I think it's likely we will find the material sourced in the above references. I'm not certain I have access to all of these, however. Some help would be appreciated. Viriditas (talk) 00:44, 16 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This JSTOR article has some of the quotes in this article that appear to not have citations. It also has links to some newspapers from the period. However, I couldn't find the quotes that are in the JSTOR article in the papers that are cited.
