Official translations

[edit]

The follow were found in Skatteverket's English language literature:

Skatteverket = Tax Agency

Folkbokföring = Population Register

personnummer = personal identity number

samordningsnummer = co-ordination number

If some of these are wrong, please speak up! --Adamrush 16:24, 25 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I confirm that those are correct translations, according to idiomatic Swedish. Further, I note that the main article (Euro. J. Epid.) cited gives the following translations:
* Coordination number = Samordningsnummer
* [The] National Board of Health and Welfare = Socialstyrelsen
* [The] National tax board = Skatteverket
* [The] Notification system = Aviseringssystemet
* [The] PIN, Personal identity number = Personnumret
* [The] Population register = Folkbokföringsregistret
* [The] Population registration Act = Folkbokföringslagen
* Statistics Sweden = Statistiska Centralbyrån, SCB
* [The] TPR, Total population register = Registret över Total-Befolkningen, RTB
(I have inserted the definite articles when needed for a literal translation.) This expanded list of translated terms should be useful for further expansion of this article.
Thank you for your attention. Best regards, Kiefer.Wolfowitz (talk) 13:34, 26 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
